History

The Late Unpleasantness

Some years ago, people in Sandpoint began being found murdered and offered as sacrifices to a birdlike demon. The person responsible was nicknamed "Chopper". It was later discovered that the true identity of Chopper was Jervis Stoot, a man who was in the habit of making bird carvings on buildings. His identity was discovered only after Jervis had offered himself as the final sacrifice. By then, he had claimed the lives of 25 other victims in total.

The fire that destroyed the first Sandpoint church occurred about a month after Chopper's death. These events came to be known as "The Late Unpleasantness".

Sandpoint Church Fire

The original church in Sandpoint burned down 9 to 11 years ago. The Sandpoint Cathedral was subsequently built to replace it.
